Manifestation with Pen and Paper Vs. Technology

I wonder if there is a big difference between writing your goals out with pen and paper versus typing them into your computer or phone? I ask this question because in old occult and theosophical works, it is said that the first step in manifestation is to write down your wish.

The idea behind writing it down is that, it is the first step in breaking through the veil from the invisible to physical side of life. So if you’re thinking about it from that point of view, it could and probably is more powerful to do it in the physical, meaning with an actual pen and paper. In addition, the added energy that you are putting in by doing by hand, should have a positive affect on the manifestation. It takes longer to do, which means you are focusing your energy on the manifestation longer while you are writing by hand.

But on the other hand, if I were to argue for the use of technology over pen and paper I would say the following ideas:

  1. Technology is part of the evolution of mankind on this planet. When the idea was originally released through various channels in books in the last century, they didn’t have access to computers and smart phones like they do today. How do we know that they wouldn’t have had a digital vision board on their iPhone if they had had one?
  2. One very big part of the manifestation recipe, is to look at your goal or plan that you wrote down many times throughout the day and always right before going to sleep. In todays modern world, we always have our phones with us. But we might not always carry out journals around with us, or whatever we wrote it on. So because of convenience, I would bet that most of us would read something many more times throughout the day if it were on a phone or device, versus a written note somewhere. Even just because right before bed, you don’t have to turn a light to read, you can simply read it on your self-luminous phone. So perhaps, even if there were an advantage to writing it down physically, could it be balanced out or even surpassed by the advantage of convenience and reading it many times throughout the day, thus keeping your mind’s eye on it more often?
  3. The other argument for using technology is that it IS in the physical world, somewhat. I mean, it’s on a physical device such as a phone or computer. And you are reading it on a physical screen …. So does that count as physical?????
  4. Also, we can add full color photos to our vision boards much easier with tech. We can do it physically too, but again, convenience might be king here. What do you think?

In the long run, what really matters the most is your feeling and visualization behind all of this, no matter which version you choose to use. I would suggest that you experiment with both processes and see which one works the best for you in the end? I would also love to hear from anyone on their opinions on this topic? Does manifestation happen faster when you use pen and paper to break through the veil? Or is technology equal or perhaps even superior than the old methods?
